La cena de gala de la Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) que tuvo lugar en Honolulu el pasado 13 de noviembre y que contó con la presencia de decenas de líderes mundiales (entre los que se encontraban Obama, el presidente chino Hu Jintao o el presidente canadiense Stephan Harker) fue «ocupada» por el famoso guitarrista hawaiano Makana que introdujo entre el repertorio musical que interpretaba para los comensales, el tema protesta «We are the many», vistiendo una camiseta en la que se podia leer «Occupy with Aloha». Makana estuvo interpretando la canción durante 45 minutos mientras en el exterior cientos de personas se manifestaban contra los líderes mundiales allí reunidos
Está acción fue desarrollada desde el Yes Lab, un proyecto de The Yes Men para difundir sus técnicas de guerrilla de la comunicación entre movimientos sociales. Más información: en el blog del Yes Lab

se despachaba a gusto con sus conciudadanos de OWS en un post titulado ANARCHY (si, así, en mayúsculas, pa que se oiga), llamándolos ladrones, violadores, payasos y otras lindezas, además de recomendarles que se alistasen al ejército, consejo que por cierto él mismo no ha seguido jamás en su periplo vital.
